       Love or Love God and People

Why is Love God and People the first part of our Mission Statement?

There is a simple answer and that is Jesus said it was the most and second most important commandment…

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-38, NASB).

First Century Bible Church feels that if Jesus said that these things were the two greatest commandments then it was a great place to start.

Through our Sunday morning Group Worship, we will learn to love God and People.  We will love God by:

         Praising Him with song

        Lifting up our prayers and praises to God

        Learning about His love for us and learning how to love Him through teaching His     Word

        We will love God through the sharing of the Lord’s supper and baptism 

We will love People by:

        Learning how Jesus loved people and emulating Him

        Sharing fellowship on Sunday morning and not just passing through the halls

        Corporately worshipping together
