Frequently Asked Questions

What is a church plant?
A church plant can take many forms so I will explain how we operate.  The Christian & Missionary Alliance asked if Kalamazoo needed a new church.  God had given me a vision for a church in Kalamazoo that would fill a specific need.  So we planted (or started from scratch) a new church.

Do you meet on Sunday morning?
Not yet.  We are a church, but we meet as a Bible study on Sunday nights.  When we have between 30-50 people we will start Sunday morning services.

What should I expect on Sunday Nights?
We spend 45 minutes studying God’s word.  We do an in depth study and look for application of God’s word in our life.  It is not a sermon but a Bible study so questions are encouraged.  We can always learn from one another.  For 15 minutes we “paint the vision” of the church.  This is where we explain the vision and mission of the church and answer any questions.  The night ends with a reception with snacks and a chance to get to know one another.

How should I dress?
Casually.  You may dress comfortably but we ask that you dress modestly.

Is there childcare on Sunday nights?
Yes, we do provide child care on Sunday nights. We have activities and Christian videos for the kids to watch while the adults study.
